Providing children with an education in an area so recently devastated by the tsunami is a major challenge, and support is essential. For example, you can sponsor a child at the Viduni Pre-School - and you'll be helping them, their family and their whole community. 

Your sponsorship can help

Your sponsorship can give children the opportunities they need to make the most of themselves - starting with the basics. Over time these children can become healthy and educated young people with the power to transform their communities.

It is the individual link between the sponsored child and sponsor that makes it work. The unique link you have with an individual child and their family enables you to see how your contributions are making a difference to people's lives. Gradually building a relationship through letters and cards, along with regular communications from School can be rewarding and educational. It’s amazing how messages of hope can boost children’s self-esteem and motivate them to realise their potential.

How do I set up sponsorship?

We would like to ask schools, youth groups and businesses to sponsor a child - or several children, and think that sponsorship is a wonderful opportunity for learning.

All you need to do is provide us with a point of contact for all communications, and set up a system for sponsorship. Direct Debit is the safest, easiest and most cost efficient way to pay your donations to us. Provided you have a bank or building society account in the United Kingdom, from which Direct Debit is acceptable, we can automatically collect your donation on a monthly, quarterly, semi annual or annual basis.

You will receive at least one letter, note or drawing each year from the child you sponsor. The children love communicating and receiving your responses too.
